Factory EHS Director 

 

 

In this role you will define, implement, and oversee the factory’s EHS strategy, ensuring full compliance with legal and corporate requirements. You will promote a strong safety and prevention culture, lead the EHS team, and act as a key partner to factory management and global functions to address risks, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Position: 

 

As a Factory EHS Director, you will: 

  • Define, implement, and continuously improve the site EHS strategy in line with local legislation, EU regulations, and company standards 

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of EHS legal and internal compliance; identify gaps and initiate corrective and preventive actions 

  • Lead, coordinate, and develop the EHS team, ensuring clear ownership of processes and high performance 

  • Promote a proactive safety and prevention culture across all organizational levels 

  • Represent the company in front of local and national authorities on EHS-related matters 

  • Monitor, analyze, and report agreed EHS KPIs; identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities 

  • Plan, coordinate, and close internal/external audits, inspections, and EHS reviews, including follow-up on action plans 

  • Lead and own the EHS pillar, ensuring execution of all related tasks

 

Requirements:

 

  • University degree in a technical or relevant field, with certifications/training in Quality, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety auditing and EHS legislation 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an EHS role, including incident investigation, EHS reporting, and strong knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and best practices 

  • Advanced level of English and good working knowledge of MS Office 

  • Excellent planning, organization, and analytical skills, with proven ability to identify, assess, and manage occupational and environmental risks 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
