Government Affairs Manager
What this position is about - Purpose:
- University degree in Law, International Relations, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Government Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in Government Relations, preferably within heavily regulated FMCG sectors, including food, alcohol, chemicals, and pharmaceutical industries.
- At least CEFR B1 English. Good in spoken and written English.
- Self-driven, proactive professional with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic political environment.
- Strong command of Government Relations best practices, including stakeholder mapping, institutional engagement, and policy monitoring.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance in all interactions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel and presentation tools.
- AI and digital literacy will be considered an asset.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate political scenarios into clear insights and recommendations.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Perform political analysis and scenario evaluations, contributing to CA strategy.
- Support daily Corporate Affairs routines, ensuring political intelligence flows internally with accuracy and speed.
- Map, manage, and engage key political stakeholders in both the Executive and Legislative branches.
- Act as JTI’s representative in Brasília — attending hearings, meetings, and sessions, and producing reliable reports.
- Prepare policy briefs, one pages, reports and public affairs plans.
- Collect and analyze data to build JTI’s positionings within JTI HQ CA&C partners.
- Develop and maintain BI on legislation, monitoring legislative and regulatory processes.
- Produce reports and presentations to the local board level, JTI CA&C Regional team, and JTI HQ CA&C partners.
