Projects & Automation Engineer

Position Purpose:

• Lead and implement robustification measures and guidelines throughout the factory, ensuring compliance from all departments. Conduct regular audits and health checks, maintaining thorough audit documentation.
• Lead the maintenance of engineering and automation systems including but not limited to SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS and other Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS).
• Support the automation team in optimizing automation systems. Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members by sharing best practices.

Position Description:

• Support the automation team in optimizing automation systems: Siemens, Beckhoff, KNX, CAN bus controllers, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc., for currently installed production machinery, software modification/debugging, MES system enhancements, preventive and corrective actions in relation to the current assignment.                
• Lead and implement robustification measures and guidelines throughout the factory, ensuring compliance from all departments. Conduct regular audits and health checks, maintaining thorough audit documentation.        
• Lead the maintenance of engineering and automation systems including but not limited to SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS and other Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS).                                
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members by sharing best practices. Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure open dialogue and strong support as needed. 
• Collaborate with Global Engineering, Primary and M&P, and IT teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Ensure alignment with global counterparts and stay informed about the latest standards and policies.            
• Perform any other tasks commissioned by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.                                                 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Automatic Control and Robotics) or any related Automation or IT related course
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position, with background in Project management. Experience in tobacco industry is an advantage.                                            
• Excellent command of speaking and writing English language, with clear & assertive communication skills    
• Good project management skills and structured when working on projects.
• Good problem solving skills for technical problems.
• Good knowledge on local and global standards.
