Process Lead

The Process Lead is responsible for developing the operating teams' technical capability and mastery of process control within the assigned production cell. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, leads root cause analysis, and implements technical projects aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, quality, and equipment performance.

Working closely with the Cell Lead, Maintenance Lead, and operating teams, the Process Lead plays a critical role in achieving manufacturing excellence by coaching teams, optimizing production processes, and ensuring compliance with JTI's safety, quality, and operational standards.

 

As a Process Lead, you will:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing losses, and improving operational performance.
  • Own Centerline and Changeover Daily Management Systems (DMS) and drive process-related improvements within the assigned production cell.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, develop action plans, and monitor results to ensure sustainable problem resolution.
  • Develop and execute 24-hour action plans together with the Cell team and allocate resources to support operational priorities.
  • Coach and develop operating teams on technical aspects of manufacturing equipment and process control.
  • Ensure proper utilization of SAP/EAM systems and timely execution of required activities.
  • Partner with Cell Lead and Maintenance Lead to optimize resource allocation and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Support capability building through training, coaching, and development of team members.
  • Promote and maintain compliance with EHS standards, labor regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring employees are properly trained, qualified, and equipped to work safely.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, or related field)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing, production, or process engineering environment
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or high-volume production operations is preferred
  • Knowledge of production technologies and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, including:
    • Kaizen
    • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
    • TQP
    • Just-In-Time (JIT)
    • IWS principles and routines
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and EHS requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience using SAP, EAM, or similar manufacturing systems is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities
