RRP Strategic Insights Manager, Caucasus
Position Overview:
This role sits at the center of strategic decision-making for RRP category (products with the potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking). You will turn consumer and market intelligence into powerful, data-driven insights and recommendations - owning end to end insight generation, market modeling, and KPI stewardship.
The role is designed for mature professionals who thrive on autonomy, influence various stakeholders, and translate data into strategic direction that drives business impact.
The vacancy has been announced both internally and externally across the Azerbaijan and Georgia markets, targeting local candidates. This is a permanent position based in either Baku, Azerbaijan or Tbilisi, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and connect the insights across tobacco categories, with a strong focus on consumer behavior and switching dynamics, and decision journeys - understanding how consumers make purchasing decisions across multiple tobacco categories.
- Cooperate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes by delivering tailored analyses, clear insights, and actionable recommendations based on commercial and consumer (behavioral) data.
- Own the market modeling process for a specific category in collaboration with Strategic Insights team - driving long term forecasts, scenario planning, and model integrity across planning cycles/business reviews.
- Track and communicate KPIs for allocated tobacco category, ensuring regular, clear performance updates. Own data organization and reporting by maintaining a single source of truth for commercial data.
- Synthesize omnichannel insights (commercial, behavioral, digital) into executive-ready, consumer-centric recommendations that drive action.
- Monitor market/industry dynamics (competitor moves, launches, pricing, promotions) to proactively identify growth opportunities across tobacco category; translate them into portfolio, route to consumer, and activation recommendations.
- Work closely with HQ SI, HQ DES, and HQ GCC teams to implement new strategic and portfolio research methodologies, actively sharing best practices through joint initiatives.
- Manage external agencies to deliver timely, accurate, and business-relevant insights on consumer trends and behaviors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years relevant experience in FMCG industry in Marketing, Strategic Insights, Analytics, or related fields (cross‑country exposure preferred).
- Proven leadership across cross-functional / cross-market projects and teams.
- Advanced Excel, Power Point, Power BI knowledge;
- Fluency in English. Azerbaijani and Russian are a plus;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to details;
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
- Good understanding of market research methodologies with ability to interpret research findings into strategic recommendations.
- Solid understanding of KPI tracking in digital environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
