Junior Accounting Associate (9-month)

 

As the Accounting Associate you will be responsible for:

 

  1. Inventory Management:

 

  • Post all relevant invoices in the system to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive inventory reports to internal and external auditors.
  • Manage the preparation and posting of inventory accruals.
  • Provide support on General Ledger and Master Data tasks.

 

2. Month End & Year End Closing:

 

  • Actively participate in the stock counting process.

 

3. Control and Compliance:

 

  • Own and execute all relevant J-SOX controls.

 

4.Business Partnering and Teamwork:

 

  • Liaise with customs agents to facilitate smooth communication and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Global Business Services (GBS) to ensure correct invoice treatment.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks delegated by the team manager.

 

5.Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Support and implement automation initiatives to streamline tasks.
  • Challenge existing processes and contribute ideas for improvements.
  • Enhance knowledge of SAP, accounting/tax, and business processes to maintain a high level of professionalism.

 

Requirements: 

 

  • University degree (Accounting or Finance)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in corporate finance/accounting department or external auditing firms would be a plus
  • Solid background on general accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong command of English Language (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be open minded, proactive, positive mindset and see the opportunities for changes
