Working as Sales Assistant at JTI

The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting our Sales department which exists of three pillars (Field Force, Channel Management and Trade Marketing). As Sales Assistant, you provide experienced Commercial and Secretarial assistance to the Sales department in order to facilitate the implementation and execution of all Marketing & Sales tasks and programs, with a large focus on Account correspondence and purchasing processes. You will work closely in a team of three assistants. The assistants truly believe in team work.

 

As part of the Dutch Sales team, you will be able to develop your professional and personal skills as of day one. Together with our international, enthusiastic and committed team, you will challenge your supporting, analytical, and social capabilities rapidly. Working in the Dutch Marketing & Sales department requires cooperation with different functions and levels, which gives you the perfect opportunity to develop a broad perspective and understanding of our organization and the business environment.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making sure all correspondence with assigned channels and accounts will take place (e.g. facilitate contract management, creation and management of purchasing numbers, support merchandising process with respect to external communication)
  • Support the Field Sales department (e.g. Trade Marketers external storage, IT system support (SAP, Sibel, CRM), first point of contact for administrative tasks)
  • Give administrative support to the whole Sales Department
  • Organizing events (e.g. Trade Marketer day, cycle meetings, group training, National Sales meetings)
  • Organization of Marketing & Sales team meetings in- and outside, (booking of location and catering, distribution of invitation and agenda, making minutes, listing and monitoring of all action points, distribute and assemble appropriate materials to all involved employees/departments)
  • Provide assistance to the other Marketing- and Sales assistants in case of absence.

 If you fit the above, it would be great if you:

  • Completed a Intermediate Vocational Education, supplemented with secretarial training
  • Are passionate about FMCG;
  • Have solid experience and successful record as secretary and in project/process planning, basic knowledge of financial processes;
  • Have experience with SAP systems and Excel, Word and Power Point;
  • Are fluent oral and written in Dutch (MUST!) and English;
  • Are interested in working in an international business environment;
