Are you passionate about working in the Audit Department? Then we have the perfect role for you. For our Internal Audit Department, we are looking for a permanent Internal Audit Manager - ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).


INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

 

Internal Audit serves as an independent monitoring function which reports to the Chairman of the JT International Holding B.V. Board. Through the completion of the annual audit plan, Internal Audit aims to:support the Company mitigate its main strategic, operational, compliance and financial risks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and controls, and identify and share best practices

The role has a specific focus on Corporate Sustainability as Internal Audit wants to reinforce its team in this area to support the Sustainability strategy of the Company and help manage ESG risks. The role involves up to 20% to 30% of travelling time depending on the audit or management support (advisory) assignment.

Position:

  • Contribute to the planning which sets out the objectives and scope of the audit or management support assignment:
    • Gather and review background information on the business or process to be reviewed, including through the use of data analytics.
    • Assist in the identification of key risks and challenges, with a focus on contributing ESG expertise.
    • Derive audit or management support scope and approach from the assessment of key risks and challenges.
  • Deliver audit or management support assignments in whole or in part under the supervision and guidance of the Internal Audit Team Manager and/or Director, ensuring that the objectives and scope are fully covered within the allocated timeframe:
    • Gather, analyze, and interpret business data, including through the use of data analytics.
    • Organize meetings and conduct interviews with auditees/management.
    • Perform testing of controls or substantive testing, including through the use of data analytics.
    • Identify draft findings and recommendations and discuss draft audit findings and recommendations with auditees/management.
    • Complete working papers and documentation to Internal Audit quality standards.
  • Draft assigned elements of the audit or management support report for review by the Internal Audit Team Manager and Director and assess management actions within the allocated timeframes:
    • Draft audit findings and recommendations, ensuring that they are factually correct and written in clear and concise English.
    • Discuss and incorporate changes recommended by the Director.

Within 6 months you will:

  • Adapt to new team dynamics.
  • Familiarize yourself with the company’s vision on how to support Corporate Sustainability.

 

Requirements:

(Please note that having experience in ESG and internal/external auditing is crucial)

  • 5 years of professional work experience of which either or a combination of:
    • Professional services specialized in Corporate Sustainability / ESG risks and reporting
    • Experience in an international external audit firm with assignments related to Corporate Sustainability
    • ESG internal control or reporting role, preferably from the Consumer Goods industry
    • Relevant internal or external audit experience, preferably from the Consumer Goods industry
  • Relevant university degree and/or professional qualification in a Corporate Sustainability field. Additional qualifications like CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CFE are welcome
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Other languages are a plus
  • Passionate about the ESG/sustainability landscape and agenda. Exposure to CO2 emissions computation considered a strong plus
  • Analytical and critical thinking, with a strong risk awareness and an ability to identify root cause(s) for identified observations
  • Curiosity, and business acumen, with a value driven and forward-looking mindset
  • Excellence in relationship management
  • Strong communication skills
  • A self-starter mindset, quick learner and appetite for personal development
  • A strong Team spirit and ability to work within a multicultural environment
  • At ease with dealing with large sets of data from various sources
  • At ease working with agile methodology where applicable
  • Excellent user of MS Office. Familiarity with Corporate Sustainability reporting systems is a significant plus
