Position Purpose:


The position will provide support for all activities relative to the Insurance & Risk Management department's processes. 




  • Assists in the insurance claims reporting and claims management process by providing support to the Manager of Insurance Operations in collecting, analyzing, organizing, and preparing claims information, and submitting insurance claims documentation to insurance companies and insurance brokers;
  • Assists the Manager of Insurance Operations in the renewal and maintenance of various corporate insurance operations processes by providing support in preparing insurance and risk management report;   
  • Performs other assignments, preparing, following, and compiling and submitting correspondences and reports, and provide any other necessary support on insurance & risk management's day-to-day processes and ongoing projects;        
  • Provides necessary support to Manager of Insurance Operations in the issuance of and procure necessary information for the preparation of invoices, processing payments to vendors, and processing and maintenance of certificate of insurance in an accurate and timely manner. 


Qualifications and experience:


  • College or University degree preferred but not required. Insurance technical knowledge a plus but not required;        
  • 1 - 2 years previous experience in a corporate environment preferred but not required; 
  • Strong written English and advanced verbal English communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. PC literacy: Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet skills and other MS Office and database management.


Skills and competencies: 


This position requires accuracy and timeliness in working with a large amount of detailed information in databases and record keeping. The candidate should be comfortable working in a demanding multi-task environment. Must possess analytical, problem-solving, planning, and excellent organizational skills. Comfortable and flexible working in a demanding, multi-task environment. Must have the ability to exercise judgment in recognizing the scope of authority.
