Strategic Insights Lead

 

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality consumer and trade marketing research data and strategic insights to formulate actionable and winning portfolio, brand, trade, and distribution strategies for Jordan & Palestine.

 

Position:

 

As the Strategic Insights Manager in the Marketing Team, you will:

  • Supervise, monitor and control research agencies (eg Nielsen, Ipsos) to provide accurate and business-related information on consumer and customer trends, behaviours and competitive activity
  • Provide support to the continuous monitoring and analysis of the retail audit data, project material preparation, project management, coordination and in-depth analysis of the various SI projects across the Jordan & Palestine market, assuring accurate and timely reporting of deliverables
  • Contribute and lead preparations for annual and strategic planning and market dynamics submissions to corporate and stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor and analyse the company’s brand performance and competitive environment through the retail audit data received for the Jordan & Palestine market
  • Initiate and develop research projects to provide information on consumer needs/profiles/behaviours, segmentation dynamics, channel and trade characteristics, as well as equity of the company brands
  • Drives consumer centricity/ obsession, close proximity to consumers across various touchpoints and data, strong cross-functional collaboration to integrate consumer, sales, 1-2-1, etc.

 

Requirements:

                       

  • University degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics/ Finance, or BA in Advertising & Marketing
  • 5-7 years of experience in Strategic insights/marketing research and data analysis, FMCG experience is a must
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
  • Expert in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Both global & regional (in-market) experience (desirable). Cross-cultural experience
  • Experience with working on international brands (desirable
  • Solid background in consumer and trade research
  • Appreciation of legislation/taxation, external relations, and marketing standards in the tobacco industry
  • Proven leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Skilled in Data Analysis
