Mechanical Specialist

 

Position:

As the Mechanical Specialist, you will maintain and fix the assigned machines at optimal parameters to achieve the production targets and KPI's with minimum waste and at the required quantity and quality of production. You will be responsible for coordinating with the teams working on the machines and should have a willingness to work overtime and shifts, flexibility, lead long-term improvements analysis and action plans, as well as support in spare parts & maintenance activities.

 

 

Contribution to TP KPIs:

  • Execute action plans relating to department KPIs assigned by the superior
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the superior for any improvements
  • Report timely to the superior for department KPIs and activities

 

Contribution of Factory KPIs & Projects:

  • Execute action plans assigned by other KPI owners
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to KPI owner for any improvements
  • Report timely to other KPI owners for department KPIs and activities

 

Standard Tasks (not limited to)

  • Fix mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner, provide alternatives if required
  • Register mechanical breakdown details in the assigned breakdown analysis sheets
  • Machinery technology owner
  • Define, check, improve & update technical and operational standards for equipment
  • Train team members on standards. Drive the correction of complex faults, including actions derived through the RG-PDCA process
  • Execution of preventive maintenance. Ownership of spare parts required for the area
  • Review EAM activities and advise on next steps
  • Plan and prepare preventive maintenance. Improve maintenance standards through line feedback and the Break Down Elimination process

 

Team Work:

  • Support other team members voluntarily 
  • Self-assess skills and knowledge, and develop self-study plan
  • Share your knowledge with other employees after training
  • Coach team members and peers for their competency improvement

 

Compliance with Policies & Procedures and Regulations:

  • Comply with global/regional/local Safety policies & procedures, regulatory requirements
  • Comply with ISO9001, OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO 50001
  • Openly initiate dialogues with a person not complying with JTI policies & procedures
  • Comply with department/team processes, policies and procedures
  • Adhere to SAP and similar processes, complying with JTI's business systems

 

 

Requirements:

  • BsC Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the production environment
  • Analytical Thinking, Time Management, Multitasking
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP
  • Effective Communication, Analysis & Problem-Solving skills
  • Fluency in written and oral English
