Mechanical Specialist

 

Position:

 

As the Mechanical Specialist, you will:

  • Maintain and optimize assigned machines to achieve production targets and KPIs with minimal waste while ensuring required production quality and quantity.
  • Fix mechanical breakdowns promptly, providing alternative solutions when necessary, and register breakdown details in the analysis sheets.
  • Serve as a machinery technology owner, defining, improving, and updating technical and operational standards for equipment.
  • Train team members on standards and lead the correction of complex faults, including actions derived through the RG-PDCA process.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance, manage spare parts inventory, and review EAM activities to advise on next steps.
  • Conduct long-term improvement analyses and support maintenance activities, proactively contributing to operational enhancements.
  • Collaborate with teams working on the machines, demonstrating flexibility to work overtime and shifts as required.
  • Execute and provide feedback on action plans for both department and factory KPIs while reporting timely to relevant KPI owners.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and effective time management skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and familiarity with JTI’s business systems.
  • Strong communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to compliance with global, regional, and local safety policies, ISO standards (ISO9001, OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO50001), and regulatory requirements.
