Activation Lead
The Activation Lead supports the Consumer Activations Manager in the end-to-end management and execution of consumer activation initiatives across Leisure, Designated Smoking Area, General Trade, and Vape channels within the assigned region and zones.
The role manages activation programs from planning and account coordination through implementation, budget tracking, performance monitoring, and evaluation. It also works closely with internal stakeholders, outlet partners, and third-party activation agencies to translate regional strategies into effective consumer engagement initiatives that strengthen awareness, trial, repeat purchase, and brand loyalty.
Due to the nature of the assigned channels, the role may require evening work from Wednesday to Saturday, as well as availability during key holidays, festivals, and event dates when necessary.
As the Activation Lead, you will:
Consumer Activation Planning and Execution
- Support the execution of strategic activation plans for JTI brands within the assigned region and zones.
- Analyze market information, consumer trends, competitive activity, and field insights to identify challenges and opportunities.
- Translate insights into short-term and long-term action plans designed to increase consumer awareness, encourage trial, drive repeat purchase, and build brand loyalty.
- Coordinate the construction and refurbishment of Designated Smoking Areas, production of customized point-of-sale materials, and execution of special activations during festivals and events.
Direct-to-Consumer Campaign Development
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Field Marketing, and other relevant stakeholders in executing Direct-to-Consumer campaigns across Leisure, Vape, Designated Smoking Area, and General Trade channels.
- Support new product launches, visibility initiatives, consumer engagement programs, and other activation opportunities within the assigned area.
- Ensure campaigns support agreed brand and consumer engagement objectives.
Program and Account Management
- Represent Field Marketing in the deployment and implementation of activation programs within the assigned region and zones.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with key outlet owners and managers to ensure effective and timely delivery of agreed plans.
- Coordinate contract requirements, monetary payments, sales servicing, and budget tracking for assigned accounts and programs.
- Work closely with Sales counterparts to ensure activation plans are operationally supported.
Agency and Resource Management
- Manage assigned activation budgets, tools, materials, and other program resources.
- Ensure proper controls, compliance, and optimal deployment of activation materials and resources.
- Provide third-party activation agencies with clear, strategic, and actionable direction.
- Review agency proposals and challenge partners to develop innovative, high-quality activation ideas and outputs.
Campaign Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor the implementation, effectiveness, and performance of assigned activation campaigns.
- Track agreed campaign indicators and consolidate relevant performance information.
- Use campaign results and field feedback to support periodic channel reviews and recommend improvements to future activities.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other ad hoc responsibilities that may arise due to changing brand, consumer, competitive, or market dynamics within the assigned territory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications
- 2-3 years relevant experience in sales and marketing
- Strong oral & written communication, data gathering, insights analysis, and problem-solving
- Campaign execution, program compliance, and consumer acquisition focus
- Experience in project monitoring, sales operations, in-trade execution, and budget management
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and understanding of digital tools
- Drivers’ license (B1 or higher). We have a program to support qualified women, who do not hold a drivers’ license
