Position Purpose:
A Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) plays a vital role in driving product visibility, availability, and sales performance within a specific geographic territory or market segment. The primary purpose of a Trade Marketing Representative is to bridge the gap between the brand and the retail environment. They ensure the company’s products are well-positioned in stores, increasing brand presence, product availability, Merchendising, driving consumer demand at the point of purchase and to deploy all respective trade activities.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Route Planning and Execution: Developing and following efficient route plans to ensure the availability and visibility of JTI brands in assigned channels. This involves close collaboration with Area Sales Managers to optimize route effectiveness.
- In-Store Promotion and Point of Sale Materials (POSM) Management: Analyzing accounts to increase shop share through in-store promotions, ensuring planogram implementation, managing visibility contracts, maintaining POSM in optimal condition, and ensuring fresh stock availability according to the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rule.
- Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis: Monitoring and reporting on competitor activities, gathering accurate and timely market intelligence, and disseminating information on JTI and competitors’ activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining close contact with key stakeholders, such as retailer owners and managers, to support objectives related to product availability, market share, market information, and promotion programs.
- Consumer Activities and Outlet Management: Selecting and managing appropriate outlets for conducting consumer engagement activities to enhance brand engagement and drive sales
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Merchendising, Distibution in FMCG company
