Logistics Specialist

 

We are seeking a results-driven Logistics Specialist to oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, dispatch and transportation of goods. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, optimize resources, maintain compliance with safety and quality standards and lead a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.

Poistion:

  • Logistics & Warehouse Management: Coordinate all activities within warehouse operations to meet project deadlines and targets; schedule, direct, and control logistics operations in line with documented policies and procedures; oversee and manage inventory throughout the finished goods lifecycle.

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Supervise and manage 5+ delivery drivers, oversee daily dispatch operations, monitor productivity and performance, manage schedules and working hours, implement health & safety procedures, and coordinate staff training initiatives.

  • Customer & Delivery Management: Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies, and regulatory requirements; maintain positive customer relationships and resolve delivery-related issues promptly and professionally.

  • Route Planning & Optimization: Plan and optimize vehicle routes; set and monitor KPIs; provide coaching to meet or exceed performance targets; continuously improve operational performance within legislative, fuel cost, and environmental constraints.

  • Transportation Best Practices & Cost Control: Allocate vehicles and drivers effectively; maintain accurate operational records (drivers, vehicles, customers, deliveries, mileage, incidents); review and adjust delivery schedules to improve efficiency and control costs; monitor resource utilization (internal and outsourced) and propose corrective actions when necessary.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to company policies, Code of Conduct, regulatory requirements and international standards; maintain compliance with all logistics-related internal processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics and warehouse operations - including supervisory experience. 

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics software.

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
