Internal Control Manager

 

We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Internal Control Manager (ICM) to lead the continued development and monitoring of the Internal Control Framework across Jordan’s market and factory operations. This role ensures full compliance with JTI policies, effectively manages Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts and implements robust mitigating controls. The ICM plays a critical role in strengthening governance, enhancing operational efficiency and driving continuous process improvements without compromising control quality. Acting as a trusted business partner, the ICM also supports management with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.


Position:

  • Internal Controls Development: Lead implementation, monitoring, and testing of the JSOX Internal Controls Framework across both entities, including management of SoD conflicts and control evidence compliance.

  • Procedures Implementation & Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce internal policies and procedures in alignment with corporate compliance requirements and JTI standards.

  • Risk Assessment & ERM Coordination: Conduct financial and operational risk assessments and coordinate the annual ERM process for market and factory operations.

  • Internal & External Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely implementation of recommendations and adherence to accounting standards and local regulations.

  • Technology & Quality Systems Integration: Support integration of technology solutions into control processes and oversee QMS self-assessments and SOP compliance.

  • Change Management & Ethical Standards: Act as a change ambassador by promoting ethical practices, delivering compliance training and driving continuous process improvements and management initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; CIA and/or CPA certification is an advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Audit or Assurance (preferably Big 4 or international FMCG).

  • Strong knowledge of internal controls (COSO, JSOX), risk management, accounting standards and local regulations.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; fluent in Arabic and English; proactive and results-oriented mindset.
