PROJECT MANAGER (Construction Project)

About the Role

Are you ready to manage a high-impact industrial expansion project? We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a factory extension project that will play a key role in strengthening our manufacturing footprint and supporting future business growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on project professional who enjoys working in a dynamic industrial environment, coordinating complex construction and engineering activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, external consultants, designers, contractors, authorities, and global stakeholders.

You will take ownership of the full projects, from feasibility assessment and design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and capitalization, ensuring delivery within the approved scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability.

What will you do?

•            Take the lead in delivering a strategic factory extension project across all phases, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and capitalization.

•            Drive the development and control of the project scope, schedule, budget, technical specifications, risk register, and key project documentation.

•            Coordinate engineering and construction activities in line with technical requirements, internal standards, capital expenditure procedures, and approved investment plans.

•            Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, engineering calculations, reports, and Business Approval Proposals as required.

•            Lead tender-related activities, including preparation of requests for quotation, bid evaluation, contractor recommendations, and participation in contract negotiations.

•            Partner with procurement teams to secure timely availability of services, materials, equipment, and construction resources.

•            Oversee contractor performance, monitor construction progress on site, and ensure timely implementation of the approved project scope.

•            Build strong working relationships with internal departments, global functions, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

•            Provide clear project status reports, financial forecasts, progress updates, and escalation materials for management review.

•            Champion safe, compliant, and responsible project execution in line with occupational health and safety, environmental, quality, fire safety, and local regulatory requirements.

•            Anticipate project risks, define mitigation actions, and drive timely resolution of technical, commercial, and organizational issues.

•            Maintain accurate project, technical, and asset-related documentation, including factory equipment and infrastructure records.

•            Apply engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement in project execution, contractor management, and capital investment control.

•            Ensure compliance with applicable local legislation and relevant ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 requirements.

Who are we looking for?

•            A higher technical or engineering degree, preferably in civil engineering, construction, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.

•            At least three years of project management experience in industrial, factory, warehouse, infrastructure, or construction projects.

•            Fluent Kazakh and Russian language skills, with advanced English proficiency at minimum B2+ level.

•            Strong project management, planning, leadership, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

•            Sound knowledge of design coordination, budgeting, cost control, reporting, and construction progress monitoring.

•            Understanding of local engineering, construction, permitting, occupational health and safety, environmental, and fire safety regulations.

•            Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and project documentation.

•            Proficiency in CAD software and practical experience working with technical drawings.

•            Experience with SAP Enterprise Asset Management is an advantage.

•            Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

•            The ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and deliver results in a complex cross-functional environment.

•            A proactive, collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
