Logistics and Customs Manager

In this position you will be responsible for managing and controlling the JTI customs and logistics activities, streamlining the transportation and customs functions, and contributing to the overall success of the organization by maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage activities of the Customs and Logistics Processes department.
• Ensure timely shipment and delivery of the goods, following regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Coordinate interactions with transport service providers, customs brokers and authorities for effective service delivery and resolution of issues, including claims related to quantity and quality of services.
• Monitor the customs procedures applied for storage and clearance of imported and exported goods following the customs legislation.
• Participate in short-term and long-term budget planning for transport logistics and customs clearance.
• Develop and implement processes and changes aimed at continuous improvement of the quality of services and costs and optimization. 
• Lead the team and support subordinates in fulfilling their responsibilities, providing necessary instructions, training, information, and developmental opportunities.

Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of customs regimes and procedures, familiarity with Incoterm
• Proven experience in team management, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, plus effective problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated stress resistance and organizational skills.
• Commitment to compliance with relevant regulations.
• Ability to effectively manage complex activities.
• Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level and fluent in Russian.
• Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong sense of accountability.
