Production Intern
Function: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Contract Duration: 12 Month Contract
We are looking for a motivated Production Intern to support both technical and process‑improvement activities across our Primary and Make & Pack operations. This role is ideal for graduates interested in manufacturing, efficiency, and data‑driven problem solving.
What you will do:
- Observe production processes, collect data, and help identify bottlenecks or losses.
- Support daily production routines with Team Leads, Maintenance Leads, and Process Leads.
- Assist in monitoring process parameters, documenting abnormalities, and updating logs.
- Support IWS‑related activities such as defect handling, time studies, standard work reviews, and daily management routines.
- Participate in basic root‑cause analysis discussions and improvement initiatives.
- Help prepare simple reports, charts, and Power BI dashboards to support improvement projects.
- Assist with centerline checks, changeover preparation, and basic routine documentation.
- Ensure safety compliance by following all EHS guidelines on the shop floor.
Who we are looking for:
- Fresh graduate in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
- Basic understanding of production/manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working on the shop floor.
