Planning Specialist

 

Job Objective

The Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing materials and production planning activities to ensure uninterrupted finished goods production aligned with market demand. The role focuses on timely procurement, inventory optimization, and minimizing write-offs, obsolescence, and shelf-life risks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage NTM and Leaf materials to ensure production continuity, including timely purchase order placement and FOREX planning.
  • Propose optimal order quantities to balance freight cost, inventory holding, and obsolescence risks.
  • Maintain accurate and updated MRP by following up on BOM changes.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust material plans to meet market demand while avoiding shortages and excess stock.
  • Prepare daily and monthly finished goods inventory reports and analyze material usage against BOM.
  • Manage NTM and Leaf inventory data and upload planned orders into IBP.
  • Support production planning and scheduling by converting supply plans into executable production plans and tracking adherence.
  • Coordinate and support additional planning-related tasks as assigned by the Planning Manager.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in foreign purchasing, materials planning, or related supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, planning and coordination capability,
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
