EHS Specialist – Leaf Function
Position Purpose
The EHS Specialist supports the Leaf function by implementing local and global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor NTE EHS requirements within the Leaf function.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure effective control measures.
- Monitor daily operations to maintain safe working conditions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly EHS reports and support legal reporting and permit renewals.
- Deliver EHS training and safety inductions for employees, contractors, and trainees.
- Coordinate contractor safety and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Support continuous improvement and safety culture initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Health Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS role
- Knowledge of safety regulations, internal policies, and labor agreements
- Willingness to travel frequently to Leaf locations
- Strong risk awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and training skills
- Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
