Global Headcount Manager

 

What this position is about - Purpose:
The way headcount is managed at JTI is changing: we are developing a new tool and process to create a global solution.  This position exists to manage the transition prior to implementation and act as a subject matter expert contributing to the project.  There is potential for this role to become permanent upon completion of the project and creation of the team responsible for headcount and cost processes going forward.

 

The primary objective will be to manage the headcount planning and reporting processes for ~5,000 FTE across verticalized and global functions in both HQ and across the business.
The position has the following main objectives:
- Co-ordinate headcount planning

- Produce monthly and quarterly headcount reports
- Act as a single point of contact for P&C and Finance on headcount matters
- Contribute to project delivery
 
What will you do - Responsibilities:
1.    HC Planning for Verticalized, Global Functions, WWDF, and Geneva HQ HC/FTE.

  • Support the planning process linked to Permanent and Temporary Headcount.

Main responsibilities through various planning exercises are the following: 

  • Provide support to and liaise with P&C Strategic Business Partners, Agile P&C team, Finance Leads, GBS FP&A team, and Functional Leads involved in the HC planning activity
  • Consolidate planning and prepare necessary analysis
  • Preparation and submission of Annual & Strategic Plan functional HC template
  • FTE and cost planning for Transformation impacted positions
  • S&F cost planning for WWDF and provide S&F support for other functions as required

 
2.    HC Reporting for Verticalized, Global Functions, WWDF, and Geneva HQ HC/FTE

  • Lead the reporting process linked to Permanent and Temporary Headcount. 

Main responsibilities through various reporting exercises are the following

  • Liaise with P&C Strategic Business partners, Agile P&C team, local P&C departments, and GBS to consolidate and understand latest HC data
  • Preparation of variance analysis of actuals vs. previous month and planned HC
  • Vacant position actual reporting and vs. plan
  • Transformation impacted position reporting

 

3.    Project Orchestra

  • Work with the Project Team to provide specialist advice and expertise on potential HC and S&F solutions and processes
  • Test processes and system functionality to drive the development and direction of the project
  • Potential to be a permanent member of the final team after ‘go live’

 
Who are we looking for - Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent education and experience.        
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in a multinational organization.
  • Very strong Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning/controlling/reporting processes desirable.    
  • Experience within (or partnering with) Finance related field advantageous.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral).
  • Strong analytical skills and also strong customer orientation/interpersonal skills, pro-active, a strong sense of urgency, autonomous but good team-oriented skills required, structured, well-organized, strong attention to detail.
