Position At a Glance

The incumbent, working very closely with CA&C Director and other team member(s), will be responsible for supporting key initiatives for JTI’s corporate & regulatory affairs and communications.  

 

The successful candidate will act as one of contact windows for the both of internal colleagues and external key stakeholders may include government, media, National Assembly, and industry associations. Ability for timely and effective issue finding and professional communication with technical skills to produce higy quality communication materials including powerpoint, graphics, drawings, video clips, etc. is required.

 

Internally, he/she will be responsible for developing and executing internal communication and engagement programs for the employees, which to be in line with JTI’s internal communication objectives. Externally, program planning & execution capability further to the skills of relationship management with key external stakeholders are essential.

 

He/she will support key priorities for market CA&C and global Corporate Development function. The person must be enthusiastic in monitoring, analysing, developing reports, and communicating of the key issues, and skill for localization of global initiatives in proactive attitude is highly required.

 

To sum up, R&R can be categorized as below;

  • Corporate Affairs (60%)
  • Communications (30%)
  • Others (10%)

 

Requirements

  1. Very proficient in visualization tools including powerpoint, graphics, drawings, video clips, etc
  2. Minimum 3 years expertise in government/media relations/multi-national company/large enterprises : Ability to define key messages, build networks, maintain good contacts, and effectively communicate with appropriate government officials and media. (required)   
  3. Confident, articulate, and professional tecnnical skills to produce communication materials (required)
  4. Regulatory affairs and Media engagement experiences (required)
  5. Fluent written & spoken English and Korean (required)               
  6. Excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills :  Ability to develop and implement strategies and programs utilizing print, electronic and other media to motivate, educate and align employees to corporate objectives and initiatives.                      
  7. Knowledge of public opinion and trends regarding public policy issues, ideally with some reference to cigarette products, marketing freedom and smoking and health issues.       
  8. Particular ability to manage communication in crisis situations, maintaining coordination with internal management and staff, media partners, industry partners, opinion leaders and the general public.
  9. Cross-cultural work experience (desirable)
