Position: Primary Manager

Department: Production Primary

Reporting to: Production Manager

Job Location: Tongi Factory, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Primary manager oversees the daily operations at a tobacco processing site, ensuring that all employees complete assigned tasks and that safety measures are enforced. The incumbent has to possess the experience in the manufacturing field, as well as the leadership abilities required to run production staff.

What Will You Do:

• Responsible for 24-hour Safety, Quality, production results and compliance within assigned Production Area. Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Ensure processes optimization and effectiveness improvement. Timely implement production plans with regard to quantity, quality and costs.
• Act as role model for his/her area on Servant Leadership approach. Active participation in DDS cycle to drive loss elimination, assigning resources and escalating issues that require support and involvement from local management.
• Implement projects carried out in JTI group, responsible for suitable machinery and equipment condition on subordinate work area, performs repairs and upgrades, cooperates with Engineering Department in case of machinery and equipment general overhauls or replacement.
• Lead mindset change driven by IWS on assigned Production Area. Responsible for proper deployment of continuous improvement culture and zero loss mindset across reporting teams through ongoing coaching activities.

We Expect from You:

• B.Sc in Engineering or higher degree from any recognized university.
• 8-10 years of work experience with 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in Production. 2+ years of experience in tobacco business will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Production processes optimization & analytical skills; Knowledge of tobacco industry and experience in working in IWS methodology is a plus.
