Finance Manager

What this position is about – Purpose

Accountable for the management, control, and reporting of the Entity's Financial Accounting, Statutory Annual Financial Statements, Company Tax, and Insurance.  Enforcement of internal and external financial policies and procedures. Corporate Governance.

What will you do – Responsibilities:

• Financial Business Reporting: Verification and substantiating of Credit Control, Approval of Accounts Payable Templates, Approval of Weekly Treasury File (Cash Flow Management), Internal Financial Corporate Reporting, Submission of Corporate Insurance Packages and Ensuring Comprehensive Business Cover, Liaising with and Reporting for SA Reserve Bank & Statistics SA. To ensure business decisions are based on reliant financial information, timeous payments, and reducing company risk
• Annual Statutory Financial Statements: Preparation of the Statutory Annual Financial Statements for JT International South Africa (Pty) Ltd & JT International Manufacturing South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Staying Abreast of International Financial Reporting Requirements, Liaison with External Auditors for the Year End Audit & Independent Review. To ensure a true reflection of annual consolidated financial information & all financial deadlines are met
• Company Tax: Preparing and monitoring Company Corporate Tax, which includes Calculation of Provisional and full-year Tax, Preparing Entity's Tax Schedules, Checking accuracy of Tax Returns, Confirmation for Submission of Tax Returns, Annual Reporting on Entities' Tax Compliance, Responsible for Annual Country-by-Country and Japanese Controlled Foreign Companies Reporting, Ensuring Legislative requirements in respect of Transfer Pricing are met, including Entity's Local File Information. To ensure Compliance with Tax Legislation
• Corporate Governance: Enforcing Segregation of Duties & Identifying opportunities Annual MR17 Verifications). Execution of Management Walk-Through for JSOX and Swiss SOX. Meeting Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Requirements. CIPC Submissions. To minimize Business Risk
• Special projects: Executing and managing identified Projects which includes Compiling project plans, Monitoring the process, Approving and signing off. To ensure that JTI  Group complies consistently with international specifications
• Backup, to check and confirm, People & Culture Department's Salary Related Calculations

Whom are we looking for – Requirements:

• BComm Hons Acc & CIMA; CA (SA)
• 5 years of Financial Management experience (Post articles)  whereof the last 2 years as part of the Senior Management Team
• Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, SAP ERP (Preferred)
