What is this position about?

You will be responsible for development, implementation and performance management of the Sales & Trade Marketing strategies, by managing Sales Operations teams (Sales Agent) and ensuring all trade activities planning,
deploying to market and tracking performance. You will develop and support the implementation of the activation strategy in KA and top General Trade partners through the programs that directly target the commercial partners and support their specific needs and fulfill the company's objectives and performance indicators. Moreover, you be responsible for efficient and effective (Sales Agent) Sales Team by guiding them, sharing company objectives, setting Field Operations' KPIs and provide all necessary support for Sales & Marketing initiatives execution at customer level.

 

What will you do?

  • Coordinates Field Marketing activities implementation:
    • Establishes in collaboration with KAM the annual & monthly commercial marketing objectives for General Trade and KA channels and ensures their alignment with the Marketing & Sales teams.
    • Campaign planning: universe planning at route / POS level for Trade Programs implementation
    • Integration of commercial capabilities and tools in line with the developed brand programs, maximizing the impact on the consumer
    • Monitors the implementation and performance of Sales & Trade marketing activities at the distribution channel level, according to the established strategy and recommends necessary improvements/corrective measures.
  • 3rd Party Management (Sales Agent):
    • Ensures the planning, communication and cascading of Cycle Plan activities to Sales Agent (SA)
    • Coordinates the the specific objectives setting for SA and its SF on a regular basis.
    • In close coordination with the KAM team and Sales Agent prepare and implement the tactical programs for SF to support monthly volume target delivery
    • Set up monthly objectives for SA and its FF and track their performance against set targets and metrics
    • Ensures regular updates and Business Reviews with SA to maintain high level of alignment and engagement accross two organizations
    • Set and measure FM team's activities to ensure the Commercial Objectives execution at POS level
    • Ensures SA contract compliance and adjustment plans when required
  • Market visits:
    • Conducts regular market visits with SA relevant stakeholders to ensure the plan execution at POS level and to identify development opportunities
    • Perform regular market visits with KAM and FMM to assess the implementation quality and excellence in execution in relevant channels and identify further improvements
    • Do regular market visits with BDs to support their KPIs achievement and provide specific coaching on their improvement areas
  • Cycle Plan execution and Sales KPIs delivery:
    • Coordinates the development and implementation of the calendar of commercial marketing activities (Cycle Plan), Sales Objectives and KPIs, and cascade them to Sales teams (Trade Marketers and Sales Reps), to ensure the most effective implementation plan
    • Ensures alignment and cascading of the Cycle Plan decisions and programs to the Sales Agent's Leadership and support specific target settings
    • Provide all necessary tools and reports to ensure the Field Sales teams smooth execution and
      performance delivery in specifications and extected timeline
  • Sales Agent (SA) Team coordination and development:
    • He is responsible for assisting SA with implementing optimal routes for each member of the team he coordinates, in relation to the company's strategy
    • Supports and provide know how to SA for FF Incentive Scheme and motivation
    • Grants support in developing Sales team members based on the individual needs of each of them
    • Activates local/national initiatives and programs to develop JTI trademarks and maximize their performance
    • Assess the SA FF development needs and provide relevant suipport for their development in line with defined profile, especially in post RDB environment
  • Macau (MC) market, Distributor support:
    • Maintain effective communication with MC Distributor;
    • Cascade all Commercial Strategies related to MC market and provide support in setting specific objectives and programs to support their execution
    • Conduct joint market visits in MC market with Distributor for identifying opportunities and transfer them in the specific objectives
    • Provide support for Trade Programs implementation plans in KA
    • Extend Hong Kong available Sales & Marketing tools (where appropriate) to MC market
    • Provide support in SF & Operations efficiency and development

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Relevant experience preferably 5+ years in tobacco industry or FMCG industry in Hong Kong / China / Macau
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese
  • University degree in Business Administration/ Marketing or equivalent Master's degree is advantageous
  • Good communication skills, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Good knowledge of FMCG (tobacco industry experience is an advantage)
